Workshop with Chloe Goodchild - 21 September 2008

Without conflict there is no music. Your Naked Voice is a wondrous power inside you that can spontaneously transform negative energy into positive human feeling through silent, spoken and sung vocal practices. You will leave this workshop with skills for engaging creatively with every day conflicts. Focussing on the integration of our instinctual, intuitive and insightful nature this workshop will introduce you to principles and practices of the Naked Voice as they have been effectively applied in personal, national and international mediation initiatives.

The aim of the Naked Voice work - which includes devotional chanting, improvisation and meditative movement - is to reveal your innate capacity to communicate with your self and others without judgement or fear. Deep compassionate listening is the essence of all true expression. You will leave this workshop with skills for engaging creatively with every day conflicts. Focussing on the integration of our instinctual, intuitive and insightful nature this workshop will introduce you to principles and practices of the Naked Voice as they have been effectively applied in personal, national and international mediation initiatives.

Chloe’s conflict resolution work includes collaborations with His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Dr Scilla Elworthy of Peace Direct, Eve Ensler of Vagina Monologues & best-selling Rumi poet Coleman Barks.

This workshop is part of the Peace One Day/World Peace Day celebrations in Bristol and participants are invited to join us in moving from the Pierian Centre to College Green and then onto the Cathedral at 5pm for a multi-faith Peace ceremony.
